VISUAL STORIES

A curated series of photo essays that I've embarked on. From the untouched back alleys to rich historical landmarks, these are the stories I had captured through my lens.

BEHIND TANJONG PAGAR

Singapore’s diverse culture shines through even in the least expected of places. People of different races and religions have all found a home in Singapore. From apprentice chefs to recent ex-offenders, Tanjong Pagar’s less conspicuous back alleys are actually home to novel characters with back stories as rich as its history. The following are but just a visual glimpse of the many intriguing characters of Tanjong Pagar’s back alleys.

RECOUNTING ROCHOR

Back in 2015, Singapore's iconic Rochor Centre was doomed to be closed for good. I went out and captured what was left of the colored blocks. The place used to be bustling with the elderly, the young and the occasional curious passer-by. Now all of it is being torn down to make way for a new expressway.

Recounting Rochor hopes to encapsulate, in pictures, the people and the soul of a piece of living history in Singapore as it finally fades away
